Year 2020-2021

Easter - Holy Week

We have had lots of fun this week taking part in Easter activities and crafts. We have designed and made Easter cards, played whole school bingo, took part in orienteering, decorated eggs, had an Easter egg raffle, and had an Easter disco! Mrs Chester made us a special Easter lunch at the end of the week.

World Book Day 2021

The children have had lots of fun celebrating world book day. They all came to school dressed in their pyjamas and brought along their favourite teddy and story book. The children had a great time taking part in a quiz, writing their own story books, designing bookmarks and book covers. Listening to stories and taking part in craft activities. We even had a 'masked reader'. The children listened to recorded stories and had to guess which member of staff had read the extract!

Lockdown - Snow Day

The children had great fun playing in the snow today!

Christmas Dinner Day

Today was Christmas dinner day. We all dressed up in our Christmas jumpers. We thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas dinner that Mrs Chester prepared for us.

Santa called us on Zoom!

Today we were so excited because Santa called us from the North Pole on Zoom! He asked us what we had asked for for Christmas and reminded us to leave him out a mince pie and a carrot for Rudolf! Santa said some magic words and told us to go and look under the Christmas tree. When we went to look he had left us some presents! We sang Rudolf the red nosed reindeer and we wish you a merry Christmas to him.

Remembrance Sunday

Class 2 walked to the cenotaph to lay our school wreath with our Chair of Governors, Mrs McGurk. We read the cards written in memory of the soldiers who lost their lives in the war.

Year 2019-2020

World Book Day

Today we celebrated World Book Day. Children came to school dressed in their pyjamas and brought along their favourite bedtime story and teddy.

The children took part in lots of activities throughout the day including listening to stories by all of the staff in school.

Hamsterley Forest

Years one and two visited Hamsterley Forest today. They went for a walk around the forest and followed the Gruffalo Trail. They hunted for lots of wild animals and played pooh sticks off the bridge. The children built shelters in the woods for mini beasts. They even went to the park. They had a great day!
