In Forest School during Spring term years 5 and 6 have been learning about fire safety. They have learnt to set a fire, use a fire stick to start a fire and keep a fire going over a sustained period of time.
They have also worked in teams to build shelters. The children had to use leaves as currency to buy the materials they needed for their shelters such as tarpaulin and rope.
The children even completed a challenge to see which team could build the highest tower using the given materials. They had lots of fun! Throughout forest school they have also been tree climbing and made a tyre swing themselves.
